Question Ubuntu Sound Volume is low


OK, today i installed ubuntu linux but the sound is so low.. I don't knwo why it is so and i don't know how to turn it up..

When i switch to windows and open the same audio file, the sound is loud but in linux it's very low..

I'm 100% newbie in linux as well Hope you'll be able to help me..

run 'alsamixer' and turn 'master' and 'pcm' to the maximum (you can also try others if necessary). See if this helps.

where what how is 'alsamixer'? I really don't know stuff about linux..
