You'll have to look for your card driver and figure out how to compile the module and load it. This link might help you figure it out.

It might be easier if you were using a newer distribution. Red Hat 9 is circa year 2000 I think. It's probably running a 2.4 kernel of some sort, which mostly isn't supported anymore. I think they're up to 2.6.19 now, so almost all drivers you find today will be written for a 2.6 kernel...

I use Debian Etch and MythTV to use my tv card.

pljvaldez, How is that doing?

I'm working on a digital/HDTV Debian Etch mythtv box also and it's not going as well as I'd hope.

Are you doing digital tv or just analog?
Can you share any insight into making everything work reliably?

We have a digital tuner in the other room, but I'm pretty sure the rest of the house (including my Etch MythTV box) is just receiving analog. I tried at one point to see if I could get the digital channels we subscribe to, but they seem to be encrypted, so I haven't messed much with them.

For analog, it was really easy to setup following the guides on the mythtv wiki. Although I do notice a bit of a quirk where I have to add the mythtv user to the mysql database everytime mysql gets updated. And I've occasionally run into trouble when the ivtv module (I have a Hauppauge PVR-150) gets updated. But usually I can just unload ivtv and rebuild it with module-assistant.
