TV game gamepads on linux
Has anyone got any old TVGame gamepads (or joypads - thats what we used to call them) work with LINUX???
They dont have the proper pins - so some modifications will be necessary. Has anyone even thought abt this ??? |
Absolutely! I use a SNES control pad for playing emulators on my linux system. And yes, you are correct, they dont have the correct pin layout to be plugged directly into a serial or parallel port. You can find out what you need to know in /usr/src/linux/Documentation/input/joystick-parport.txt
Feel free to ask questions after youve reviewed that file. |
I have some old TERMINATOR TVGAME joypad.
Its not listed and i dont know with what it is compatible. So what do i do ? |
What system was it for?
|
I think its for an 8-bit game system. Its a local one and has nothing to do with SEGA or anything.
I remember that is 8-bit. I used to get cassettes for a cheap price. (the cassetts are rectangular) I dont know what more info should i give. |
hmm, without knowing the type of system im afraid I cant help.
|
Ok so how do i know what system ??
|
Sometimes the name is on the controller. You dont have the system? just the controller??
