trying to install java plug-in
 
I'm running Mandrake 8.0 and trying to install java plug-in for Mozilla. Had no trouble as root. but installation fails as user. I assume it's because of write permissions, but still stumped. What am I missing?

Well, if it works as root, what problem is there? If you've installed it globally as root, then it'll work for weveryone surely.. did for me

Did you get it to work? I had the same problem upgrading to NS 6.1. I never did figure it out. Went back to 4.78. Had same prob with all plugins!
