Tripped over ethernet cord, ethernet doesn't work anymore
I tripped over my ethernet cord forcing it out and now there's a pin like switched over and it doesn't work. Is this easy to fix? It's a laptop and I think the ethernet card is built into the motherboard, but it's just like the pins in the port.

Most Laptops have a couple of PCMCIA slots and you can buy Ethernet interfaces to go in there. Then you can simply disable the motherboard interface and use the new one. Best of luck with it! |
A lot depends on the age of the machine, but (depending on your hub) you should still be able to use a USB port instead of the ethernet connection.
And don's right - you're bound to have a PCMCIA slot in the laptop. |
