No more like Transgaming, cant use credit card no more. what about Codeweavers???

Just lik to clear up something im only 15, my parents wont use ther credit card, and so I had to purchase a teenbuxx card to get what I want. Anyways, my 3 months of my membership at transgaming just expired, and so I tried to RENEW IT, but now its saying it wont take Debit cards... WHY NOT!? I've already tried to submit some more money in but I cant, so im just geting sick of them, and I already sent them hatemail. For several reasons other then the poor service. Anyways, my parents said "tuff luk, try something else" and I said "so i will." I've been looking at Codeweavers product, and I've read somewhere (ill link it back later, i know I read it, wasnt that long ago) that they said there mission, goal, or something is to get about 95% of windows apps working before the end of 2k4. Anyways, that just tells me there actualy doing something, more working, less hacking. Has ANYONE tried crossover for GAMING?? I've read from the steam transgaming archives that u can play steam on CrsOver, but when I went to the app index at codeweavers, no one replied to that forum saying it works, nor do ppl reply to other game forums. Has anyone had any luck with this program? I just want to play some games, that I normaly couldnt on straight wine, and I could on WineX/Cedega.

I've played the same games on winex and crossover, but winex is usually a bit better and less glitchy. Crosover can have trouble with screen res and a few things in games, but it does work. Depends on the game...

But just coz your subscription ran out doesn't mean you can't run winex. You can still use what you already have, or did you delete it???

I deleted all of my winex's except "Cedega". *sob* :[ *cry* . My little mouse work around WORKED until steam decided "lets fly into the ground again, i forgot what happens". Wether it was Steam (4 votes from me) or Cedega ( 2 votes from me) that failed me. I dont realy care, because I cant renew my subscribtion. I downloaded the trial version of Crossover, and it gave me the same error in Steam, but u know whats keeping me a little on Codeweavers side? They actualy WANT to get just about every program on windows to run on ther emulator, witch is more then just supporting games, and internet explorer in general.
But before I buy this program, id like to hear from other ppl on ther expierence, it be good to learn from other ppl mistakes then making them myself. Its just not that fun...

PS: Name the game to that you have ran on it. Thatll expand my horizon on what games run good on COO.

hmmm. let me think. I'm pretty sure I had some old faves running on crossover. half-life, counterstrike: condition zero, jedi knight 1 and 2, and maybe a couple of others... I'd have to thinjk on that one as I got winex soon after crossover and started running that for games instead. But I do like the goals of crossover and maintain became an advocate there for a couple of obscure win apps...

Just use winex off the cvs until you can get a credit card :)

Crossover isn't great for non-opengl games, really - in fact it's about the same use for them as plain, free wine.
