Yea, the powers that be seem to have replace traceroute with tracepath. This will is the correct way to re-link it

sudo ln -s /usr/bin/tracepath /usr/bin/traceroute

traceroute was replaced with tracepath
traceroute6 is for IPv6

# To link it try
$ sudo ln -s `which tracepath` /usr/local/bin

$ which traceroute

# If it displays other than /usr/local/bin/traceroute and you linked it above. Just remove that bad link

traceroute www.google.com
