Hey guys! I asked a question on the software forum and no one knew the answer, so I figured I'd ask here.

I need a program like hyperterminal on windows except I want it command line for Linux.

I am working with designing a processor in a class at my college, and we communicate with it through a serial port. It would be much better if I could do it from my laptop with a command line serial port communicaion program.

Any ideas of where I can find one? I need something that will just communicate directly to a COM port.
