Total Kernel crash with alsa and midi
 

Fedora Core 2
Kernel 2.6.7-1.494.2.2 with the realtime-lsm module loaded.
Sound card Turtle Beach Santa Cruz (snd-cs46xx).

After loading JACK and connecting the midi input to the midi output, and then connecting a midi keyboard to the sound card, the kernel freezes completely and needs a hard reboot.

This also occurs when using "aconnect 64:0 64:0" to connect the input to the output in alsa itself.

These two conditions seem necessary - both the alsa connection and the midi input, which suggests that there is some bug in the alsa code that is locking the kernel when attempting to process midi events.

Has anybody experienced and/or solved this problem? Is it fixed in a later kernel version?
