/tmp filling up with logwatch

Every few days I get the /tmp directory filling up with logwatch stuff

Creates directories like these:

logwatch.XX5igcHJ

With all logfiles underneath.

How can I stop this from happening or how can I get it to write these files elsewhere.
Not sure what started this in the first place.

Thanks,

Ok found it in logwatch.conf and pointing to another dir rather then /tmp.

What do I need to restart (if anything) to apply these changes?

Thx

On my system logwatch is run out of cron, not as a daemon - you shouldn't have to restart it.
