Is there anyway to change the color of the ugly blue screen that X loads just before bringing up the login splash for either Kde or Gnome? In my case I turned the splash screen off so I get a big ugly blueish screen (wich I would like to be black) until the desktop loads. Im running Redhat 9, with XFree 4.3., and blackbox.

I know this sounds redundant but That screen drives me nuts.:mad:

no, it's hard coded into that release of X, sorry. slightly newer relases don't have any splash screen at all, whch is nicer, from the delightfully titled "die die die" patch.
