This ISP works with RH7.2 Does it?
 

Last Thursday I changed ISP to this new one (don't know if proper to mention it here) and it worked last Friday and Saturday. But then it did not work any more, "messages" shows the password is incorrect and the username is incorrect. What have I done to my computer? Absolutely nothing. Does this means the ISP change something? I call them and they said the gave me the conection settings but they don't troubleshoot. I connected via Micro$oft and it works OK. H E L P!

What are you trying for your username and password ?

Sometimes it requires the full email address and password, if your not trying that ? Might want to do a search on that ISP and connecting with Linux.

Years back, I remember some ISPs would only work with Wintel boxes. I then found out something about Windows: you enter your userid and Windows dialer adds some string BEFORE it, but DOESN'T show it in the textbox.

First place to go to is your ISP newsgroup/user group.

People! I logged in on Friday and Saturday several times each day and it worked fine. I don't see how we have to look in the user name or password wich I did not changed or even touched at all.

Have you checked with your ISP then, if they accidently reset your password. If that is being rejected, I would be contacting them first. Cause when it rejects a password, its clearly reaching the server, its just not authenticating you for some reason.
Might want to double check your settings as well, making sure none of those went back to a default setting as well.
What program are you using to dial into them ?

As I said I logged in using Micro$soft (ie EXPLORER) and it worked. :o

I am assuming that you are dual booting Windows & Linux on the same computer. So Win will dail up & connect to the ISP, but when you boot into Linux it will dail up but won't verify the username or password. Is this correct so far? If so then all your hardware is fine (because Win worked) & Your modem is compatiable with Linux (because it worked Fri. & Sat.). Now it will dail up but won't verify username or password then the only thing I can come up with is either the ISP changed some settings (which I doubt because Win is still working) or somehow Linux went back to the default settings.

Try resetting all your ISP info dail-up #, password, username, etc.,etc..

Remember passwords & usernames sometimes are case sensitive
