I thought you were just going to say Ubuntu or Slackware.

Well, I didn't want to get into this substantially, myself. I was just making fun of this thread for implying, with its existence, that "My Distro Is Best" discussions have much value. By encouraging the unlimited proliferation of distros, with different skill levels or specialties, we make it inherently difficult to establish a "best" distro. Not that that's any bad thing. Is that not so?

You discovered, I hope, that this thread is poking fun at that very idea itself? You followed that link in post #1 right?

Aybabtu or Tightware, much better.

I saw the AYBABTU thing, but didn't realize it was part of the satire. I tend to miss the obvious for having my head in the clouds.

Well, it has been some years (and you thought it was dead) but when I saw the similarity to Ubuntu I couldn't resist Old geek-kitsch never dies...

Iliad's game is quite playable though. I just thought it could do with more distro cards.

Should really have catch phrases too...

Aybabtu - Linux for CATs? or Make Your Time?
SheTrivia - Impossible to Understand
WeNDY - All Fresh Ingredients
TightWare - Leave your bags outside
Panama - for a man with a plan
Gentile - hoy veh? (I know... but you try thinking these up.)
GNonSence -
Linsipid - Featuring Click-N-Pay
Xandross -
Linux Vista - vi vs emacs solved: wordpad

Thought for the day: "Any sufficiently advanced regular expression is indistinguishable from line noise."
