The only way to disconect is shutdown?

I have in my Laptop KDE (Redhat 7.2). When I conect to the internet I get the normal KPPP icon but no other means to disconect. No right click. Why am I missing some sort of internet monitor which provides for disconection?

You could just kill the process. No need to completely shutdown. Probably a command like 'killall pppd' or whatever the process is called should be enough. You could probably make a script out of it and then add it as an icon on your desktop if you prefer that to typing the command each time.

Well you should type:

ps -aux

and then try to kill all processes that are connected with your Internet. This processes should be something like ppp. Good LuckĄ

The problem was solved (it didn't exist)

People, This was not a problem at all. My fault. The "solution" is :
Go to the top desktop menu bar
click on WINDOW
right click on KPP icon and the magical Disconect window appears
click on disconect.
Thank for your posted solurions.
