LOL. I feel your pain.

The closest you can get to the dock (and its not that close) is to get (Super)Karamba, a "Samurize" like program for KDE and get one of the numerous docks from kde-look.org

Perhaps some developers that browse here would be interested in creating something like it. I'd LOVE to see a docking program like this for my GNU/Linux desktop.

Anyone get in touch with the makers of Yz Dock and ask if they are willing to release source (if they aren't doing so already)?

If my programming skills were more then web-based, I'd definitely try to organize something.

$UPDATE

I sent the author a short letter, maybe we'll get a response

Hello,

I was wondering if you would be interested in creating a GNU/Linux port of Yz Dock, or perhaps, releasing it's souce code. I know of many (thousands) that would enjoy using it on there GNU/Linux desktops.

Thanks!

Take care & sleep well,

Benjamin P. Keating

Well, Mr. Yamaguchi doesnt speak english, so I dont think the letter will do much good.

Hes not about to release his source anyway.

Try emailing Moby or Jeff (mobydock.tk, objectdock.com)
