Tedious migration process???

For all those that are facing a very real problem of facing migration problems from a Windows environment to a Linux OS.

MoveOver has a freeware version that will help you by zipping up the files and then transfering it when your Linux OS has set in. It includes all files on all dirves, profiles, email, cookies, outlook etc..

http://www.resolvo.com/products/moveover/index.htm

i heard MoveOver is launching new additions to the MoveOver to futher improve its migration process.

I suggest a Linux Live CD to start with, then really learn Linux by changing to it and using it.

I trust the automatic stuff less and less (I much prefer to make my own decisions as to what I want to use) and the security and stability becomes my responsibility, rather than some other geek's ideas.

Do I buy a boxed source, download off the internet or buy some cheap CDs?
It's your choice! If you download, I suggest that you check the md5sums on the Linux ISO Images and make sure you know how to burn ISOs in Windows to install Linux

Honestly i think moveover is quite a good prodouct as compared to other migration softwares. It does save the hassle for an average computer user. So far didnt hear any complaints regarding moveover yet.
