Just installed fresh copy of Slack on Compaq Deskpro PII. For some reason the system will not reboot. It gets as far as shuting down the system, but it will not come back up. Anyone has any sugestions

If it's at a shutdown or halt, just reboot the machine. Are there any error messages, does it even post the BIOS upon reboot, etc?

0 error logs. According to the logs everything is fine. After (ctrl - alt - del), (reboot), or (shutdown -r now) the computer will shutdown as normal and get to the point where the screen says "Rebooting". Then the screen goes black like normal and the monitor power light will start flashing. From here it will not come back up. One more thing I should have added in the original post, I only installed packages (A, AP, D, E, N) I am tring to strip this setup back as much as possible. After running into the reboot problem, I installed each of the above packages (full).
