System Lock Up

I got a server that is running sendmail, samba and bind. Here lately it has been locking up at nights. Is there any log file that I can check to see what might be happening?

The system is running Redhat 7.1, with a 300 k6-2, 128 mb of ram, a IBM server raid card, and 3 4.3 gb scsi hd's.

This is the first Linux server that I have done for a company. ANy help would be really appericated. Thanks

/var/log/messages is the first one to check, also delve into /var/log you might find lots of usefull information there + some unneeded junk.

Are you able to ping this box? Telnet or ssh (assuming you're accepting telnet and ssh) to it?
