System hang during boot ( Fedora Core 1)

Hi all ,
I have Redhat linux 9 on my system (mail server )
I reinstall Fedora Core 1 on that one to use it for mail server .
on install I don't have any probem , during first boot when pass boot level ,
on Enableing swap space it give me OK and system don't work any more and Hang on this time ,
I don't know why

any one can help me ?

Does it hang on swap or some other service that is starting up?

I get the same, it seems to crash a few seconds after activating swap, so it is quite random which particular service is being loaded at this very moment. The problem started when I changed the processor from Celeron@300A to PentiumIII@550, before that the system was perfectly stable.
