system > Administration has missing items

just a quick question.I noticed today that while logged in as a normal user my system > administration menu has all the appropriate items but when you log in as root it only shows 5.
  • Device Manager
  • Network Tools
  • Printing
  • System Log
  • System Monitor
anyone have any ideas on how to get the rest up.
