Syslog fail events!

I am new to Linux and I am getting the following fail events in my syslog file when my system boots up. I am running Slackware 9.1 on a laptop.

kmod: failed to exec /sbin/modprobe -s -k scsi_hostadapter, errno = 2
(I don't have any scsci devices)

hw_random: misc device register failed

Does anybody know how I can get rid of these messages?

Thanks!

So you know, many devices are "emulated" to the Linux kernel as SCSI devices. A good example would be a cd burner or a thumbdrive. How often do you get that error? Does it happen every so many minutes, or is it triggered by a certain event?

I get these messages every time I reboot my system. They are recorded in the /var/log/syslog file. My CDROM drive is also a burner but then again it is an ATAPI/IDE drive. So that wouldn't be emulated as a scsi device. Right? These fail events are not keeping me from doing anything (as of yet) but I am just trying to get a "clean" boot up and a better understanding of the Linux boot process.

Thanks

Yes it would be emulated as scsi for burning.
