Suse specific or general


Can anyone tell me about

insserv
startproc
startpar

are these native only to suse linux or are they also used in other systems esp Redhat?

I first encountered those commands on openSUSE. As far as I know, Red Hat does not use those commands to manage services. You probably need to look at chkconfig, service and ntsysv.
