suse 9 ftp install.... ramdisk: compressed image found at zero

ramdisk: compressed image found at zero..... I am getting this message right after kernal tries to load into ram at setup.....after that it says unable to read superblock crc error <6> ......VFS: unable to mount root fs on 09:02

can anyone help me to get the kernal loaded in order to start the ftp install .... thx

Is this a new install, or are you installing to a hard drive with another OS on it already?

I did a quick Google search and came up with a number of possibilities - perhaps if you check them you'll find your answer has already been posted somewhere.
