Suse 9.1 upgrading to pro by yast; how to save downloaded packages?
I've installed Suse 9.1 personal and have configured Yast to update all the packages that would be installed with a pro install. Yast shows that it is about 3 gigs worth of packages. My question is, can I save these downloaded packages to a cd so that I can install it later on a different pc or if I need to reinstall, so that way I don't have to redownload them all. Currently, its about 9% done, so if I need to change something before I update, let me know soon so that way I can cancel and start over.
Thanks

make sure the 'delete downloaded packages after install' box is not selected, and you should find them all in /var/lib/Yast2/you/mnt/

where is that check box at? I remember seeing that box when I initially installed 9.1 and it went through an online upgrade or something, but I don't see it on the screen that is updating now.

Through the yast system update. I put in an ftp as in installation source so that it could download the packages that would be included with pro. I used the ftp listed here and put it as an installation source. http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...threadid=91221

as far as i know they should be in the directory i mentioned, you could take a look in there to see if any packages are being stored.

I actually ended up just downloading the boot.ini and reinstalling the entire os from the ftp server. I followed this guide here http://www.linuxgazette.com/node/view/9052
