SuSE 8.0 FTP servers? An empty promise?

I can't wait till SuSE opens up their servers for version 8.0. I mean the real thing, not the live evaluation. Does anybody know where I can get it cheaply? I don't need the manuals or anything like that, just the actual OS and software that comes prepackaged with it.
Also, since it is Linux, is it legal for someone to just burn me a copy?

I believe SuSE claims to have a setup over FTP, meaning that you should download a harddrive image and then use ftp to download installation files and move to actual install phase.

Hmm, I hope you are right. Unfortunately I just checked on their FTP site and all they have is a crummy text file that says they promise to put Suse 8.0 on the FTP servers soon.

This is what the text file says (bolded and quoted for readability)

Hi,

many people have asked ftpadmin@suse.com for the whereabout of
the SuSE Linux 8.0 ftp version.

We are currently working on the ftp version to satisfy the high
quality standard that our usership is used to with SuSE products.

Expect the 8.0 tree in this directory within a few days from
today.

Regards,
Roman Drahtmueller,
SuSE Security.
