su root doesn't accept password

Hi guys,

When I want to change to root from other users, the password is not accepted (the users are present in the "wheel" group). It works perfect to log in as root, can someone please tell me what I've missed here before I go crazy

I don't realy exactly understand what you mean... but do you mean that:

1. You have already edit with (visudo) the needed file and changed the group wheel) to be able to sudo ?
2. If a user logs in, and is member of the wheel group, it should be able to "sudo su -" and type HIS personal password (not the one root is using) he/she should be able to sudo.

Hope this helps
