strange screen when switch back from KDE to virtual console
 

Hi everybody,

Sometimes, when I switch from the graphical desktop to the virtual console (by typing alt-ctl-1 for example), I see an illisible screen.

I'm using Suse 8.0 with my own compiled kernel 2.4.20-xfs , KDE 3.1
and NVDI driver.

Any idea to "clean up" the console?

just type reset and hit enter :D

Hi sidey,

I tried already reset but the screen is still illisible. As I said,
all virtual consoles had problems (even the ones that are just
having login prompt).

I have tried to kill the X server, restart it then switch back to the console but the problem is still there. I have only one option : reboot the machine. :mad:
