Stopping X from booting at startup in FC3

Hi,

I'm trying to figure out how to get X (gnome) to stop booting in FC3. I have edited my grub.conf and taken out the rhgb line... but all this does is just stop the red hat graphical boot screen from appearing. It does still startup gnome however once the system boots. What file do I have to edit in order to simply get a command line startup?
