Stop X from starting at boot

How do you stop X/KDE from starting automatically at boot?

I know I saw that as a setting in the installer but it's already installed, and it doesn't seem to be an init.d script. I am running CentOS 4.2. Thanks,

edit the /etc/inittab change the default run level to 3. It will be the first uncommented section.
