startup applications

Out of the blue, OpenOffice Writer is automagically starting up when I log on. Where do I turn this off?

Does it happen with all users? Check your open office configuration files. Also check the /home/%user/.xinitrc file.

It happens only on root.
I've been in root dealing with printer configuration, but didn't do anything with OO.

What does your /root/.xinitrc file look like?

/root/.xinitrc DNE

Hrm, I'd double check that just to make sure. But if there's no configuration within OOffice that has it booting on start you've got me stumped
