Dont let that put ya down! You can go freelance after hours. There's no age limit for a good craftsman. The only real reason the "companies" impose age restrictions is ... the paycheck. Would you believe I reacted to a job offer once at the age of 25 and heared I was too old. It all boils down to what you can offer for your clients, that's all...

Here in belgium (and I suspect other countries to be the same) age accounts for your paycheck. A "kid" is inherently cheaper to "run" and "mould into the required image"...

And, hey, microsoft (and others like them) look always for younger and younger "talent", they basically end up with a kindergarten on a payroll
