Unhappy starting gui


I just installed slackware and i get to the login and pw
and don't know how to start up the gui. can someone help?

startx should get you going ok. youmight need to configure it first using xf86config

if it is a new distrobution then you should have kde installed. This is a nice interface. Just type 'kde' , If you don't have it, then you should definately get it.
