Staring up WLAN process at Boot

Hi,

I have just re-installed Slackware after a couple of years and need a bit of advice on WLAN process at Boot. (Already have Suse, PCLinux, Ubuntu installed as well and no issues with Wireless functions).

I have ndiswrapper installed and can't get the WLAN0 to start at Boot - every time I have to open a shell and give the following commands as root "ifconfig wlan0
wlan0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:0F:B5:FD:7E:89
BROADCAST MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1
Interrupt:11 Memory:ee010000-ee020000

bash-3.1# iwconfig wlan0 essid belkin54g
bash-3.1# dhcpc wlan0

This works! However there must be an easy piece of code that I need to insert somewhere - any help would be much appreciated.

Many thanks Guys

Welcome to LQ!
I am not familiar with slack, but you seem to have worked out the commands you need. Good!
The "quick & dirty" place to put them would be at the end of the file /etc/rc.local
Some distros put that file in a different place, so just locate rc.local if you can't find it in /etc
You'll need to be root to edit that file because commands in that file will be run as root (which is what you want)..
