standard output to screen and file [Solved]


I need standard output to be sent to a file ">" but also sent to the screen. Is there anyway of doing this?

Take a look at tee, it may do what you need. Something like:

b2:/ 45> echo "Hello world" | tee test
Hello world
b2:/ 46> cat test
Hello world
b2:/ 47>
