ssh question


hi, maybe you can help. i'm used to using ssh with a gui so you can just drag folders from your desktop to the account you have ssh'd into. but i can't figure out how to do it with the command prompt. thank you.

They have a ssh gui? This is news to me..

Use scp...

Ex:

scp <file-on-localhost> user@remote-host:/path/to/directory/to/copy/file/

You can also use sftp to transfer files from the command line, if you want a more traditional ftp-style interface.

Yeah. Although I have only seen it on Windows. I have to admit, its pretty nice.

Tried it, didn't like it. Not that it didn't work, it did. I just prefer sftp.
