Hi,
Are you sure your company's firewall blocks outbound port 22? Port 22 is the default port of ssh. Have you even tried connecting via ssh?

I have found that they have port 81 open for ftp, I want to know if its possible to alter ssh so that it listens on my computer on port 81 so that I can connect.

From reading this, it seems that your company restricts certain ports (inbound) while allowing different ones to be open so that clients can connect. You just said that they open port 81 for ftp, that means that people would connect to your company's ftp server on port 81 rather than default port 21. This does not necessarily mean that your company has blocked outbound port 21.
1. Try connecting to your machine at home via ssh first. This will determine if they did in fact block outbound port 22.
