Squirremail problem!
Hi!
I use redhat9, postfix as mailserver, apache as webserver and squirremail as webmail server. I have been using this system since 2005 and it has worked correctly since today. When I type www.mydomain.co.yu/webmail, appears the login form (it's ok). If I type wrong password it say me that the password or username is wrong (it's ok). But if I type the correct password, the browser shows me the following warning: "Preference file, /var/lib/squirrelmail/prefs/username.pref, could not be opened. Contact your system administrator to resolve this issue." Do you have any idea how to solve this problem? |
The files in this directory have the user and group apache. Check this is a first step.

Does it happen for all users? What happens if you delete (after backup of course) the pref files?

I have deleted the pref files and after the login I've got back the following error on my browser: "Error opening ../data/default_pref Default preference file not found or not readable! Please contact your system administrator and report this error." |
Here's what I see
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 41 Jan 28 07:20 default_pref -> ../../../../etc/squirrelmail/default_pref and # cat default_pref full_name= reply_to= show_html_default=0 sort=0 left_refresh=300 |
