split mailbox

Hello ...
I installed fetchmail for download mails from pop3 server .
this worked without any problem .

My problem is :
fetchmail download all email's in one file (/var/spool/mail/$USER)
I need split this file message by message (mail by mail with subject and other information's) to multiple files. for example mail or mutt command split it in simple menu .

How can do this ?

Hi,

traditionally when using fetchmail one would use procmail for this type of filtering.

Putting "procmail fetchmail howto" into your favourite search engine should yield lots of helpful information.

Cheers,

Evo2.
