Unhappy specify path in vsftpd


hi all
I try to use vsftpd for ftp server and it's work fine but I need to users who login in server to go to specific bath that I define like (/var/www/uploads)for user that login via ftp connection how can do this (Note : users that login via ftp go to home folder).

Welcome to LQ. Working with Vsftpd isn't hard, you just have to know what to do. So please read and try to understand the examples supplied with Vsftpd, especially the "virtual users" ones. Modify your configs accordingly, test, then post (including steps, configs, errors) if it doesn't work.

i found the solution

thank you for advice

and i found what i looking for when i tryed to change my config

(if you want to Chang the dir for user when login you can by add

local_$name_of_user = /path/to/folder

in config file)

and i have another Q: how can i dined access for another dir in the server

Thanks for posting the solution. You can deny access in different ways, depending on your needs and configuration, for example chroot (directory to deny access to should not be a subdirectory of the chroot) or deny_file + hide_file (weak) or changing access rights to where the user Vsftpd is running as can not access the directory.
