special character


hi. i wish to know how to type special character in linux.
characters like ©, ß, £ could easily be typed by pressing alt+0223,etc etc.

then i was frustrated to know that i could not do the same in linux...
is there other way to type char like that?

thx....

Moving to Linux - General as the question is not Slackware specific

Welcome to LQ I think you'll find that Linux - General is a better place to put your non-slackware specific questions as there is a bit more general linux knowledge there. As this question isn't really specific to any distro, that'd be the better place for it.
