Space above nad below the included graphics in document in latex
I am using following for figure environment.
\newenvironment{figurehere}
{\def\@captype{figure}}
{}
But in my document there is some space above and below the figure.
I have tried to remove it using \vspace{-1.0cm}. It is not working.
Can anybody please help me?
