SoX File Conversion Issues

Hi!

Anyone familiar with Sox? I did some conversions of 8 Bit 8K uLaw wave
files to .GSM to use with my Asterisk PBX and although they converted ok
(without errors) there is now a click at the beginning and end of each file.
Any ideas? I used the SoX utility on my newly installed Fedora Core 5 box.
