"Sound server fatal error" (RH 9.0 + KDE)

Hello

I've been using RedHat 9.0 for a few months now although, I've been using Linux for about 2 years and have tried many different distros. Red Hat is definately my favorite;-)

I normally use Gnome but the other day I decided to use KDE for awhile and so I logged out of Gnome and went into KDE and as soon as I was logged in, a message popped up and it said the following...

"Sound server fatal error:

/tmp/mcop-jimbrown is not owned by user"

So, I logged into root and changed the ownership and I still got the "fatal error" message but this time it said that I was the owner...hmmm.

I don't get this error when I'm in root (KDE). the funny thing about this is that even though I'm getting this message when I use KDE, the sound itself works just fine.

Any suggestions?

Thank's people

Those are just tmp files which can be removed. Have you tried to remove those files and then login as that user to see if you get the errors again?
