sound card installation

hi guys,
i have these als4000 soundcard installed on my redhat linux machine. usually i just connect to internet to configure my soundcard. since im not connected anymore i would like to configure. i downloaded the driver for will i install it?

What kind of file is your driver? Is it an RPM, or source code? Also, what is the name of the driver? If it is an RPM there should have been installation instructions where you downloaded it at (kind of a mute point if you can't connect). If it is source, unpack the file, cd into the directory it created, and look for a README or an INSTALL document.
