some X-problem

Hi, when I want to start X I get this message:

"""

_X11TransSocketUNIXConnect: Canīt connect: errno = 11
_X11TransSocketUNIXConnect: Canīt connect: errno = 11
_X11TransSocketUNIXConnect: Canīt connect: errno = 11
_X11TransSocketUNIXConnect: Canīt connect: errno = 11

unable to communicate with X server!

and then:

The /etc/X11/XF86Config file was not created
Press [Enter] to switch to graphics mode.

"""

I press enter and it goes the same...over and over again...
I just wonder if I can type something else, and fix the problem here, or if I have to restart the machine?

what shall I do? I think that my XF86Config file is wrong..right?

yes I am a newbie...
thx in advance

looks like you don't even have one. rerun the config for x.

xf86config
or
xf86cfg

it's been a while since i ran it. but i'm pretty sure that's what they are. first is text and the second is gui, if you would call it that.

good luck

okay , I tried to configure the "xf86config"

and got this error instead:

""""""
Fatal server error:
Cannot open mouse (No such file or directory)

""""""

okay so the probelm is my mouse..
I have a two-button mouse and it is connected to my ps2-port

shall I type /dev/psaux then?

thx in advance
