Solaris question for watch command equivalent

I know this isn't a Linux question, but this forum has proved the most valuable and helpful to me up to now and besides, I can't get this info on Solaris-focused sites as no one seems to know...

I want to perform this command:

Quote:
watch -n 1 -d iostat -d -k -x
in Solaris, but Solaris doesn't have this function! I can do:

Quote:
iostat -xD 2 100
which repeats the command 100 times at a gap of 2, but I want it to run indefinitely...

Please, the Solaris people can't answer it so I'm hoping the Linux-superiors can help me out.

Anyone know?

Thanks!

You can omit the count argument altogether and it should run forever. Failing that, you could set up the following script

Code:
#!/bin/sh

while true
do
 iostat -xD >> $HOME/iostat.dat
 sleep 2
done
Omitting the redirect if you only want the output to the screen.
