I have a rackmount server that has four 60gig IDE drives that mount in the front. All drives are setup identically (can boot to any disk when I swap) Each disk has about 51gigs free/unused. Is it possible for me two create a RAID 5 with the 4 disks while booted into the o/s?? I am using RedHat 7.2. I am a newbie with Linux and I could use any help.
will somebody tell me how to even look at the partitions while in RedHat 7.2? The only doc's that I can find are about creating one while doing the install. I cannot create while doing the install because I cannot have all 4 disks running & a cdrom.
