Small Gnome

I installed Gnome, but when I start it, all of the text is unreadable because it is too small. The various bars on the screen are also small. Also, when I boot, it automatically goes into the "small" Gnome. How can I fix Gnome or boot into KDE?

when you log into SUSE doesn't the display manager give you an option of which desktop environment you want to be in? I run SUSE 8.2 and it gives me that option - maybe you don't have KDE installed (although I thought SUSE used KDE by default).

On redhat linux running GNOME I know there is a fonts selection under preferences. there is also a selection to change the panel sizes, location, etc.. I'm not in front of my SUSE machine right now so I can't check if it's the same there but I expect it's similar.

Small as in you're running at an extremely high resolution (would make everything small -- text, icons, etc.) or just the text below the icons and up in the top bar?

Well, the icons are the correct size, but everything else is really small. It should be running at 1024x768. When I boot, it directly goes into Gnome. If I found a way to logoff, it would go to the login screen. I do have KDE installed, but I decided to try Gnome, and now I can't get out.

Are there any arguments that I can enter in GRUB to boot to the logon screen?
