Slow GRUB Load
 
Whenever i start my server (not sure of the exact specs) it seems like GRUB takes a while to load. It will POST them say GRUB loading stage1.5 and sit there for several minutes, then it says GRUB Loading, Please wait... and sits there for several minutes. When it gets to the Ubuntu boot, it doesn't take more than a minute.

Is there any way to speed up GRUB when it loads?

Is your hardware ok?

especially your hard disk(s)?

the hardware is old, but it seems to operate fine. then again, operation does not always mean good health.
