Question sleeping process

Hello,

I have a question about a process which uses a lot of cpu power. If it runs properly,
it uses nearly 100% of system memory all the time which is all right. The pc is dedicated
for the process. But after a while, I didn't take a detail log about the time, but shortest
cputime was neally 70hours, those processes go sleeping state and doesn't do anything.
I am submitting these jobs using Torque and Maui. The queue system's report gives me
normal memory usage. I suspected the queue system first, but I couldn't think about anything
wrong there. Jobs are not even killed. Just stays sleeping.
I don't know why this happens. Does anyone have any idea about this?

Thank you

Perhaps if you told us the process or application, it might actually help us know what might be the cause of the problem.
